From a workshop in Madrid to a world of craft
Founded in 1846 by a collective of leather artisans in Madrid, LOEWE has long cherished the spirit of craft—of making things by hand. This exhibition offers a glimpse into the house’s journey to becoming one of the world’s leading luxury fashion brands, as well as the enduring identity rooted in the timeless appeal of craftsmanship. Here are a few highlights from the exhibition, captured in photos.

During the pandemic, when runway shows were cancelled, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson dreamed up an alternative: a collection sent in boxes directly to guests—an innovative way to share fashion beyond the catwalk.
This piece drew crowds from the very start of the exhibition, with guests lining up for their turn to snap a photo.
Still fresh in our memories: Rihanna’s electrifying red catsuit from the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show!
Right next to it stands the trompe-l'œil bodysuit worn by Beyoncé on her 2023 Renaissance World Tour—dazzling in gold crystals.
To witness outfits worn by two of the world’s greatest divas—Rihanna and Beyoncé—up close was simply surreal. A once-in-a-lifetime thrill I’ll never forget.

Finally, the Limitless Fashion room brings together 54 looks from both women’s and men’s collections—a tribute to Jonathan Anderson’s playful humour, creative vision, and his deep respect for LOEWE across his 11-year tenure as Creative Director since 2013.

As Jonathan Anderson moves on to a new chapter—appointed Artistic Director of Dior Men as of April 17—his creative journey continues to captivate.
See it, touch it, and fall in love with the world of craft.
This exhibition explores the themes of time, space, materials, and the very act of making. A sensory journey through LOEWE’s craftsmanship, it feels like an art-meets-fashion field trip, offering each visitor their own unique perspective.
It’s a rare chance to dive into LOEWE’s 179-year legacy, the rich traditions of Spain, and the enduring allure of craft.Add this to your Golden Week to-go list without a doubt 🎃
