Visited the latest Maison Margiela 2022 "Artisanal" Collection installation, "Cinema Inferno," currently held in Shibuya, Tokyo.

This installation is a Tokyo-original version evolved from last January's exhibition in Paris, commemorating the relocation and reopening of the Omotesando store.
By meticulously recreating the "Cinema Inferno" experience in detail, all the scenes from the story, including the convertible car, mannequins, and mirror room, are brought to life in this venue.

As you walk through the two-floor venue, you can glimpse the essential relationship between dressmaking and storytelling in John Galliano's couture approach, generating emotions and memories through his creative process.

In July of last year, "Cinema Inferno" was presented at the Théâtre de Chaillot in Paris in an unprecedented format that combined theater and film. This assemblage performance was live-filmed, edited in real-time, and projected onto a screen on stage while being streamed to a digital audience.
